Steel Fabrication & Foundry Jobs

INTENSE LABOR / PHYSICALLY DEMANDING — Training Provided

We are hiring for multiple positions in a high‑production steel foundry. Work is physically demanding and requires strength, stamina, and the ability to work in hot environments.

Pay: Up to $25 per hour, depending on experience and pending a performance review after 60 days.


AVAILABLE POSITIONS

GENERAL LABORER – $20/hr (Overtime $30/hr)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the casting and cleaning of steel and iron castings
  • Perform tasks as assigned to support production
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain work area cleanliness

FINISHER / GRINDER – $20/hr (Overtime $30/hr)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual inspection of castings
  • Remove excess material using pneumatic abrasive tools
  • Grind, smooth, and finish casting surfaces

WELDER – $22/hr (Overtime $31/hr)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Arc‑gouge to remove defects from steel castings
  • Weld to fill gouged areas and repair defects
  • All welding performed horizontally

ABOUT THE FOUNDRY

  • Manufactures highly engineered, high‑quality steel castings
  • Capable of pouring 100+ grades of steel
  • Casting size range: 1–3,500 lbs
  • Qualified to Mil‑A 11356 Armor up to 2.25”
  • Materials produced include:
    Carbon steel, low alloy steel, Austenitic stainless steel, Martensitic stainless steel, Duplex stainless steel, Ferritic stainless steel, Hastaloys, Monel, Inconel, and Armor
  • Processes include:
    • Loop molding
    • Large line molding
    • Sand reclamation

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions
  2. 20/20 vision (corrective lenses allowed)
  3. Ability to lift 50 lbs
  4. Ability to work with heavy equipment for full shift (e.g., holding a hand grinder)
  5. Ability to meet production timelines with minimal supervision
  6. Indoor work environment — temperatures can be hot

UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS

  • Steel‑toe work boots
  • Long pants

HOUSING (Optional)

  • Shared employee housing
  • Shared bedroom (no private rooms)
  • Shared kitchen, dining area, bathroom, and living room
  • Rent: $125 per person per week (includes utilities & basic furniture)
  • Deposit: $200 non‑refundable
    • Can be paid through payroll deductions (e.g., $25 per check for 8 checks)

TRANSPORTATION

  • Free transportation to and from work is provided

  1. Dependability: Arrive on time and maintain regular attendance
  2. Job Performance: Complete duties quickly, efficiently, and safely
  3. Conduct: Follow all worksite rules; violations may result in disciplinary action up to termination
