Job Description: Landscape Crew Member

Location: New Smyrna Beach, FL
Pay: $18.00 per hour to start
Transportation: Company transportation to and from the worksite is provided
Housing: Optional shared employee housing available at a low cost

Position Overview

Landscape Crew Members perform a variety of outdoor tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and general grounds maintenance. This is a physical, fast‑paced role that requires reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work in all weather conditions.

Arrive on time and maintain good attendance
Complete work duties quickly, efficiently, and safely
Maintain a clean and professional appearance
Treat co‑workers, supervisors, and housemates with respect
Follow all company policies at the jobsite and in employee housing
If you quit or are terminated, you must leave employee housing immediately; travel home is at your own cost

Duties and Responsibilities

Cut lawns using various-sized power mowers
Trim and edge using gas-powered edgers and trimmers
Operate gas-powered blowers
Trim shrubs and trees using shears, pruners, or gas-powered hedge trimmers
Remove damaged leaves, branches, and twigs from shrubs and trees
Use landscaping tools and operate heavy equipment as needed
Pick up leaves, trash, and grass clippings and load them onto a truck or trailer
Weed by hand or with a garden hoe
Plant trees, bushes, and flowers
Check irrigation lines as needed
Carry and spread mulch
Dig trenches, arrange landscape boulders, build retaining walls, and work with hard materials
Follow all safety procedures and use equipment properly
Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Must pass a drug screen and background check
Must be able to stand, walk, crawl, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use hands/arms to grasp and carry equipment
Must be able to see, hear, and verbally communicate clearly
Must be able to lift 70 pounds regularly
Must have continuous ability to hear and speak
Must have strong visual acuity, including near vision and depth perception
Must be able to work outdoors in variable weather and temperatures
Must have manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment
